Building the Field of Love
A manifesto for the feelers, the dreamers, and the lovers who know a new reality is calling
I’ve come to the unsettling realization that I consume way more than I create. There isn’t a course that pops into my email inbox or across my Instagram feed that I’m not convinced I need to take. My nightstand is piled high with nonfiction books I believe hold vital information I need. I am truly interested in it all and love to learn. And I think my subconscious mind plays a trick on me to keep me wrapped up in just one more thing to learn before I’m ready. Ready for what, I’m not sure. At this point, I know enough about so many different things, I could go in any direction. Truth is I’m overwhelmed with content and finding the time to consume it all. Its exhausting, and its keeping me stuck. I’ve decided to go on a content diet once I’ve concluded all that I’m currently enrolled in or reading. It’s time to stop hiding behind one more thing to learn. Its time to express. Its time to play and create. Its time to be generous with what lives inside of me.
To that end, one of the courses I’m taking has actually pushed me more into creation rather than consumption. I’m not only learning so much, but also being forced out of my comfort zone creatively, and I’m loving it. I feel stirrings inside of me I’ve been divorced from for eons. Its pushing me to clarify and refine what I’m all about, and how I’m sharing it with the world through my own creative expression. The course is called Algorithm Alchemy and is taught by my friend, Ayesha Ophelia. It’s been fun to play with visual creation and written expression while distilling down the core pillars of my work and connect to the spirit of my business. Its making me remember my Why.
One of our projects was to create a manifesto. A declaration of truths we hold and beliefs that fuel our work and purpose. A living set of intentions that guides us. It’s a call not just for me but also for anyone who resonate with the ideals I’m outlining. I thought I’d share mine here with you. It’s also living as a carousel on my Instagram page.
